Exercise therapy

Individual physiotherapy

"Physiotherapy/movement therapy is really effective only when dealing with patients individually (individual therapy), adapting the treatment to their current state. Manual therapy techniques and certain passive, lead active movement techniques may be used only during individual treatment. During individual treatment active exercises enable continuous manual correction, stabilization, (e.g. when treating children with scoliosis it is the only way of effective treatment), and to develop a sense of security in connection with movement.Immediately after surgery, in case of acute pain and inflammation, the physiotherapist's responsibility is to position the limb or spine correctly and to rest. In these cases it is necessary to use special exercises involving no or very limited movement. The goal is to improve circulation and muscle function, to increase/maintain muscle strength - isometric exercises."
