sulphate bath (sulphate, sulphide, sulphur) (see also sulphurous waters)
Sulphur can be found in waters in various diverse forms, usually as hydrogen sulphide ion, thiosulphate ion, hydrogen sulphide and in sulphide ion. After standing for a longer perid, sulphur is completely oxidized to sulphite and sulphate by the air. During bathing sulphur is absorbed by the body partly through the skin, party through the respiratory tract; in case of drinking cure it is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.Drinking waters containing sulphate: Ferenc József, Hunyadi János, Mira
