"Mofette, or dry carbon dioxide gas, is used for treating circulatory diseases. In Hungary, there is one mofette, in Mátraderecske.The patient sits in a room resembling an amphitheater filled with carbon dioxide gas (levels are measured constantly by instruments) up to the waist. The patient stays for about 15 minutes and courses of treatment are recommended. The carbon dioxide gas in Mátraderecske contains radon."
