Extremity bath

The treatment requires two containers of water: one cold (14-16°C), the other hot (36-38°C). The patient puts two limbs first in the warm water (for about 1 minute), then for 10 seconds into the cold water. This procedure is repeated 10 times typically. Treatment should begin with the warm water and finished with it. The heat creates vasodilatation, while the cold creates vasoconstriction. This can be done at home by the patient.
