Reflexology

"The purpose of reflex massages is to influence the function of certain organs and organ systems by reflex. These forms of therapeutic massage have been proven beneficial, but unfortunately they are rarely used in medicine. The malfunctioning of the internal organs results in visible signs on typical places of the torso. These are called Head zones. In these areas discoloration of the skin, swollen subcutaneous connective tissue can be seen. This area is firmer, harder to move by hand than an adjacent healthy area. If the dysfunction of the internal organs manifests itself on certain parts of the torso, then by treating certain parts of the torso we can influence the organ dysfunction by reflex. For example in case of leg vasoconstriction stimuli to the sacrum and the thigh area clearly results in warming, reddening of the leg and the foot, undoubtedly a proof of improvement in its circulation.A beneficial effect is also proven if the lung has bronchospasm, which inhibits the patient's breathing. When applied on the sacrum and certain parts of the torso, the breathing clearly deepens. The disadvantage is that these forms of massage are not as pleasant as the Swedish massage, and they take much more time because they must be continued until the correct reflex responses appear."
