A Hódmezővásárhelyi Strandfürdő 2200 m mélyről jövő, 76 °C-os, alacsony keménységű, alkáli-hidrogénkarbonátokban gazdag vizét a Népjóléti Minisztérium 3/Gyf-1994. számú határozata gyógyvízzé nyilvánította.


Ásványianyagtartalma literenként 2190,525 mg. Ez a gyógyvíz alapozza meg a város több mint 75 éves fürdőhagyományát. Terápiás részlegünk nemcsak a víz termikus és kémiai tulajdonságát használja ki, évek óta szakorvosi javallatra az Erzsébet Kórház-Rendelőintézet szakembereinek bevonásával víz alatti torna, tangentoros kezelések és masszázs is működik fürdőnkben, így gyógy- és termálvizünk hatékony eszköze a helyi orvosi terápiának és rehabilitációnak.
